For 60 minutes we will settle into yin postures with the support of blocks, bolsters, and blankets. There are three principles of Yin Yoga: Come into the pose at an appropriate depth, hold the pose for time (we will hold poses anywhere from 1-10 minutes), and resolve to remain still for the duration of the pose.
Yin Yoga targets the ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and even your bones while yang yoga targets muscles. Yin is yielding, allowing, and nourishing. It provides you space to be with what is present in your mind, body, and heart. It is a time where nothing else has to exist outside of the present moment.
